what’s on
In addition to our regular Sunday worship, we hope you’ll join us for special events held at SGGP and our sister church, St. Paul’s Bloor Street.
alpha
BEGINS WEDNESDAY MAY 14, 6:30-8:15pm
Alpha is a series of relaxed evenings with dinner and conversation, where you can explore the big questions of life, faith and Jesus with people from all backgrounds. It is for people who wouldn’t typically go to church and wouldn't call themselves Christians. There's no pressure, no judgement and no charge.
This spring, we’re running a combined Alpha with St. Paul’s Bloor St.
pentecost prayer gathering
sunday, june 8 at 3:15-4:00pm
Pentecost Sunday marks the giving of the Holy Spirit to the early church. As we give a special focus to prayer that day, we’re inviting everyone to join us to pray prior to the service.
There’ll be opportunity to pray for others and receive prayer, and to learn more about the culture of prayer we’re trying to cultivate at St. George’s.
We hope to see you there—it’s open to everyone!
how to be a christian
june 10, 17 & 24 AT 7:00pm
What does it mean to be a Christian? How do I live a Christian life? How can I pray?
Tyler will lead an informal, conversation-based, three-session course that introduces the fundamentals of the Christian life, including theological essentials and how to deepen (or begin) your prayer life in our community.
This is intended as a post-Alpha course for people who would like to follow Jesus but aren’t quite sure what that might mean.
This in-person course is free and open to all who worship at St. George’s.
